Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In light of the latest government guidance in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) we have temporarily closed The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery.

We understand that this may cause disappointment, but the safety and health of our visitors, students and staff are our number one priority.

We value the importance of creativity and know the impact it can have on wellbeing in times like these and will continue to provide our classes online where possible.

Although our team will not be available on campus, we will continue our digital presence and use this time to share creativity from our community and The Edge’s archives on our digital channels. We’ll also be sharing our top picks of digital arts experiences, unique opportunities, and inspiring articles from around the globe.

You can find us at @EdgeArtsBath on InstagramFacebook and Twitter and our student community channel @EdgeArtsCommunity on Instagram and Facebook. We’ll be updating these more over the coming weeks, and sharing opportunities for our community to share their own creativity if they wish.

You can find the latest University of Bath information regarding the reopening of campus on the University webpage.

Getting Here

By Bus

The University of Bath has frequent bus services from all around Bath that drop you almost at our door. Find out about current bus services.

By Car

The Edge is a 10-minute drive from the city centre of Bath and is situated on the eastern edge of the University of Bath’s campus. You’ll find us near the University main bus stop, the East car park and next door to the Sports Training Village.

If you’re using Satnav we recommend using the postcode BA2 7PD which will direct you along Convocation Avenue, and to a right turn immediately after a set of traffic lights. You will see The Edge on your right just after the turning.

We have lots of car parking at the University of Bath, but some of the restrictions can be confusing, so we’ve made a small guide to make your car parking experience go as smoothly as possible.

We advise using The East Car Park, which has a combination of accessible, permit and pay and display parking. The Pay and Display machines take cash or you can use the JustPark app. Further parking details are available on the University website.

Access for all

We welcome people with disabilities or specific learning difficulties and additional support needs and are working to improve access to all our activities. Our event information is available in large print.

The Edge is fully accessible and we have toilets on every floor. Occasionally we will use an off-site venue that may not be fully accessible. Please discuss any access requirements with our team on 01225 386 777, who will be able to advise you.

Car Parking
Each car park on campus offers parking to blue badge holders. Guide dogs are allowed in all buildings on campus.
