Thanks to all who came to our Open Day. Our new building was buzzing with hundreds of visitors from local community, families, staff and students. The Monski Mouse disco promised ‘what goes in the disco stays in the disco’ as parents showed off their best moves alongside their toddlers.
Verity Standen’s Hug was a highlight for many who went in cynical and/or a bit nervous at being hugged by a singer, but came out wanting to experience it all over again. In the afternoon, award winning local band Real Steel brought sunshine to Claverton for an hour with their big sound. Our three white cube galleries were packed all day with art lovers from 0 – 89 enjoying the biggest contemporary art offer in Bath and the cafe did a brisk business – and deservedly so – it’s definitely the best coffee and cake in the area.
The Edge slicing through the winter skyline with it’s utterly cool galleries & studios made our day. This is happening!
It was really great, so nice to feel so welcome at a university as a local non-student. Also – amazing cakes
