Visions of Science

What is your vision for science in 2020?

We are thrilled to announce that Visions of Science is back. This exciting art prize, presented by The Andrew Brownsword Gallery at the University of Bath, is awarded to submissions that reflect, represent, capture or depict modern-day scientific phenomena as studied by academics at the University’s Faculty of Science.

Researching themes across biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematical sciences, pharmacy & pharmacology and physics, the science departments work collaboratively to challenge perspectives, their research changing the world we live in.

Visions of Science merges art and science, both of which are fuelled by our curiosity as humans to understand the world and share our perspectives. This online exhibition is open to works that reflect, represent, capture or depicts modern-day scientific phenomena.

We are welcoming submissions from 9am on Friday 8 May to 11.59pm on Sunday 21 June.

All accepted entries will be open for public voting on the week commencing 22 June to decide the People Choice Prize. Our judges will also select the prize winners during this time, and the winning selection will be announced week commencing 29 June.
