Life Drawing: Investigating fundamentals to retracing the physicality of the drawing process in relation to how the figure poses and moves.
The course caters for people of all abilities in our light and airy Art Studio, and seeks to provide a platform for experimentation within life drawing, stimulating imagination and enhancing skills. The goal is to build confidence and provide the tools to develop observation and drawing abilities.
During the ten weeks you will explore techniques to aid tackling form, shape, line, proportions and the use of tone within the drawing process; perceiving, creating and presenting a drawn dialogue. The course will includes the chance to experiment with black and white materials, as well as trialling the use of colour in one and half hour long sessions. Media will include drawing (pencils, graphite, charcoal, and ink) and a plethora of traditional and new mark-making techniques; moderately referring to further painting, printing and collage. All courses will involve both group and individual tuition from an experienced tutor, and use male and female life models (unclothed).
