Nicolette studied violin and piano at the Royal College of Music and spent a year at the National Centre for Orchestral Studies,
Goldsmiths’ College, London. Her teachers of violin were Frances Mason and Carl Pini.
She has had a long and successful career including positions as assistant principal first violin in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic
Orchestra and then later as a principal first violin in the Bournemouth Sinfonietta. She has always had a love of chamber music and has given many solo and chamber performances including at the Liverpool Cathedral Festival, Fishguard Festival and
performances for Channel 4 television.
Since moving to the South West Nicolette continues to play professionally and has developed a busy teaching practice from her home near Bath. She enjoys preparing students thoroughly for exams and performances but is equally happy to help those who simply want to play for enjoyment.
