Black History Month - An Evening of Poetry ft. The Black Verse

The Foyer6pm Start

As the main event of Black History Month, this event aims to be a celebration of our Black Students and mark the end of Black History Month. As part of this, we are bringing together individuals from across the local community, the student body and the university. Poetry is an art form which forms a vital part of many African and Caribbean nations. For many, it started as a way of communicating stories down to different generations to keep them alive. The Black Verse is an organization started by alumni Samuel Akinwumi, and it exists to provide a platform to empower Black poets and make their voices heard.

Please join us to celebrate the end of a momentous month, and the start of a more inclusive chapter here at Bath.
