She’ll hold her own by hannah west

Hannah is a postgraduate researcher in the Department of Social & Policy Sciences. She’ll Hold Her Own is a music video featuring a specially commissioned folk song written to capture Hannah’s own gendered reflections of recent military service and re-imagining the gender-defying female soldier of traditional folk music. The visuals explore the transition from military to civilian life through the relationship between identity and uniform.
