Join Artist Educators Victoria Willmott & Let’s Make Art for a fun filled afternoon of collecting and making. We’ll be exploring the ways people archive their every day lives and taking in the exhibition Collected Shadows which is in the Andrew Brownsword gallery until 16 June.
Victoria will lead the group on a walk around the edge of the university campus, collecting found objects along the way. Then make your way back to The Edge to create your very own personalised memory book with Let’s Make Art to collect your everyday treasure in.
Walk: 1.30pm from The Edge
Workshop: 2.15pm – 4pm
Collected Shadows is an eclectic display of scientific, astronomical and botanical studies, studio sittings, portraits and private snapshots, press photographs, film stills and aerial photographs from several wars, as well as a rich and unpredictable array of works we would simply have to call art. It’s a fantastic collection and archive of photography, offering insight into photographic techniques since the mediums inception in the 1800’s.
