Digital Composition Workshop


Join The Edge music tutor, Justin Wildridge, to explore the world of digital composition, looking at musical software, ways of using programmes creatively and how to develop your inner musician.


This workshop will be run through a Zoom Video Meeting, once you have signed up we will email you all the details you need for the session.

These workshops are programmed to benefit the creative development of the students of the University of Bath and are capped at 20 capacity to allow for interaction and conversation between the facilitator and the participants. Please only book if you are a student at the University of Bath and can make the time and date advertised. If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, please let us know so we can release your space.

Justin Wildridge studied music at Bath Spa where he specialised in performance on clarinet and saxophone and composition. His postgraduate work took him to Nottingham University under the tutorage of Nicholas Sackman and Hugh Wood where he was awarded his Doctorate in composition in 1994.
As an educationalist, Justin has taught both practical and academic music for nearly thirty years in the UK and mainland Europe.

During his career, Justin has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of students from across the world from absolute beginners through to those preparing for entry to colleges and conservatories. He has extensive knowledge of the practical examination systems and is an accomplished pianist.

Justin has a passion for every variety of music and encourages each student to develop a lifelong love of the subject. His approach to learning is friendly, professional and tailored to the needs of each individual player.
