Learn more about the buildings designed by Alison and Peter Smithson at the University of Bath, with Dr Amy Frost, architecture historian and curator at Bath Preservation Trust. This special walk will illustrate how the historic city of Bath inspired their ideas for the future city.
The University of Bath campus was designed in the 1960s to explore the new thinking about architecture and design that was defining post-war Britain. These new ideas were continued when Alison and Peter Smithson came to the campus in 1978 and designed a series of buildings that would be their last major project in England.
