SESSION 1: 12.15 – 1.45PM
SESSION 2: 2.15 – 3.45PM
Imagine your house as a micro-hub for self-production. A home where modern digital fabrication allows you to develop the things you need yourself – small scale on demand components and objects for furniture, interiors, kitchens and more.
This playful workshop will give an insight in to how 3D printing works and can be combined with a variety
of other materials and processes to create objects and furniture for the future.
On the day 3D printers will continuously produce joints and components as building blocks to be used throughout the day.
Participants will also be able to see how 3D prints are created and will be able to take a print home with them.
The 3D prints will also be complimented with SUGRU who have provided us with some materials especially for
these special workshops. SUGRU is a soft colourful rubber that when left to dry becomes solid and can be used for a
variety of fun things. Participants will be able to take some SUGRU home too.
London based digital design agency and fabrication laboratory Lab-083 lead this special workshop exploring real-time digital fabrication methods for future living.
NB Choose between two workshop times. Parents are welcome to either join or leave their children with us for the duration of the session.
