Kaash

- Edge Theatre

Explore the universe in 55 minutes through Hindu gods, black holes, Indian time cycles, tablas, creation and destruction

We are delighted to bring this stunning production to Bath for another chance to see Akram Khan’s first full-length work which took the dance world by storm in 2002. With set design by sculptor Anish Kapoor, and music by Nitin Sawhney, Kaash (Hindi word for “if only”) continues Khan’s quest to build bridges between the worlds of contemporary dance and the Indian classical dance form Kathak.

Awarded Best Modern Choreography by The Critics’ Circle National Dance Award in 2002, Akram Khan revives and relives Kaash with an international cast of performers that sheds a new light and energy on the piece.
