Babies’ understanding of the world is surprisingly sophisticated

In this Minerva Lecture, Dr. Nathalia Gjersoe will discuss what it has been like working on the BBC2 show ‘The Wonderful World of Babies’. This programme explored how surprisingly sophisticated babies’ understanding of the world was from a very young age. She will take you on a quick-footed tour behind-the-scenes to explore how these early skills develop as children get older and what they can tell us about why adults act so oddly so much of the time.
