Join artist Richard White on a curated short walk around the Bath countryside. We’ll begin our stroll from our current exhibition Collected Shadows – which displays an eclectic array of photographs from 1850s until present. Curator Timothy Prus, who selected the images for this exhibition, is recorded as welcoming those who bring imagination and their own knowledge to the collection. In that spirit, we invite you to an afternoon of walking, doing and thinking, visiting and re-visiting the images on show with different perspectives.
Richard’s (dis)enchanted walking approach invites us to move slow and be attentive to our connectedness, to sense the hidden and obscured, generating an awareness of the rhythms and flows we are part of. The walk aims to stimulate your imagination, alert you to, and share, knowledge you may not even have been aware of…
MEETING POINT: Collected Shadows exhibition, Gallery 1. Please arrive in good time so we can depart promptly and get back to The Edge by 5pm.
ACCESS INFORMATION: approx. 2 mile walk on well marked tracks and foot paths, for the most part on the level. Some uneven ground through old quarry workings and a short steep climb back up to the golf course.
Please wear suitable footwear and clothing, and bring walking stick/s if needed. Sorry no dogs.
