To mark our 50th birthday we want to celebrate with you. Join us at our first Community Festival.

We’re throwing open our doors on Saturday 6 May for local residents of the BANES area to enjoy an action packed day of music, fun and celebration. It’s a chance to see and try some of the fantastic facilities and research we develop right here on campus. Meet some of our amazing scientists and researchers. Take up a new sporting challenge. Join a craft workshop or drop in to demos and talks on science, technology and health. There’s even an appearance by the Red Devils!

As one of three zones The Edge will host the Creative zone with a wealth of interactive and FREE activity for all the family to enjoy.

Learn how to make a chair, visit our special Tipi Tent, design some bunting to take home, fly a drone, get your face painted, witness the latest developments in virtual reality and motion capture technology, and get a free drink and cake while you watch an outdoor performance… and much much more!
